Streets of Mars became Streets of Sarajevo for five days.

For many it came as a surprise but for us it was a relief that we finally managed to book the tour to this beautiful, historical and cultural city! It took a lot of planning but together with our Bosnian tour manager Taim we made it happen. Sarajevo and Bosnia-Herzegovina was simply great. Well as Jesper explained “like Stockholm except that everybody smokes”!

Excellent gigs, special live TV-shows and interviews, friendly people, a lot of good food, late nights, booze and even a tremendous football match.

As mention before we also did a couple of interviews, here is an interview and some live clips that was broadcast on RTV IS:

Last weekend was awesome, it’s a fact that Stockholm never let us down. Great gig at Marie Laveau on Thursday night. Once again thanks to all of you who showed up and off course thanks to Hubbe and JD at the club Blacklist, great job guys.

Let’s just say that we couldn’t wish for a better occasion to celebrate our second single release. For all of you who missed that! The song All My Life is now available on iTunes and bunch of other digital online stores.

On Friday night it was time for Manifestgala where we met up with some friends and had a really good time.

There is couple of new gigs on the way to be booked and a lot of other surprising stuff we are working on, witch will be revealed soon.

Hi folks, it’s about time to give you some Streets of Mars updates!

Let’s start with some info about our second single release from our debut album Breathe In Breathe Out. The song All My Life will officially be released on iTunes and other digital download sites on Thursday Feb 3.

That off course has to be celebrated right away! All My Life releaseparty will also take place on Feb 3 at Marie Laveau in Stockholm, organized by this amazing club The Blacklist.

Don’t hesitate to come by! It’s going to be a splendid night and a great prestart to the weekend as we will continue with the party on Friday evening when the band will attend Manifestgala at Nalen.

New year, new blog, new gigs, new single and new adventures but let’s just for a moment get back to some things that happened last year.

2010 was a pretty great year for Streets of Mars with plenty of gigs and time spent on the road, but still the one of the most importing thing was releasing our debutsingle which made it to iTunes Top20 chart and finally releasing our debutalbum Breathe In Breathe Out which got a lot of great reviews and was voted as Top10 album in 2010 by Marcus Grahn. Now we are proudly leaving all that behind us and looking forward to some new adventures!

Let’s start with couple of gig announcements.

We are starting this year’s roadtripping up north in Umeå and a gig at Scharinska on January 22! One week later January 28 it’s time for a gig at Puls Bar & Lounge in Borås.

Beside those gigs it’s also time to release our second single and the official release date and release party is booked for February 3 at Café Opera in Stockholm. More info about single release and gig at Café Opera is coming soon.

Santa, as in Marcus Grahn, brought us a great Christmas present a few days ago. We were already happy with the out come regarding reviews and what not for 2010 and Breathe in, Breathe out, but this puts a totaly new perspective to it. Imagine how many records that are out there…!?

Debut album Breathe In Breathe Out is released and is available for order or download at your favourite record/online store, here it is at iTunes!

As we already mention the debut album is going to be released on Wednesday 27:th of October and it’s going to be available for download or order on a lot of sites and stores.

In the past week the band did a couple of interviews with some newspapers & magazines and a lot of reviews or to be expected. The first album review is coming from Marcus Grahn at Värmlands Folkblad, you can read it here at VF.se

Zizmond and Saki also made a live radio performance and played some songs at Swedish Radio Kronoberg. On the same radio channel the debut single Breathe In Breathe Out made it to top 3. Thanks again for your sms votes.

We did it for the first time and again.

A brand new album cover was finished for the first time, by Daniel Andersson and Streets of Mars. The artwork made us all satisfied and we can’t wait to show it for you guys!

Once again Streets of Mars are blessed with a new band member, ready to fill the spot on the guitar. His name is Jesper, and you will see more of him. We also met Sebastian, who will help make a musicvideo with us on the upcoming album.

A lot of things going on right now, and it couldn’t be more fun and exiting.
